(a) TextMaestro stores session information in a certain format as described below:

(i) Default Session Attributes of all sessions are saved in a file named

C:\TMT-UserInfo\SessionInfo\_tmt_master.txt

(ii) Session file information for each session is saved in a separate file.

For example, if your environment has fifty sessions, expect to see one file called _tmt_master.txt with all the Default Session Attributes, and fifty files with corresponding session file information. The former is called master file, and the later leaf files.

By clicking on Save button, the following 4 types of information are saved:

(1) The master file:

C:\TMT-UserInfo\SessionInfo\_tmt_master.txt

(2) A back up of master file:

C:\TMT-UserInfo\SessionInfo\BackUp\_tmt_master.txt

(3) All the loaded leaf-files (not the unloaded ones)

(4) The text conversion libraries in:

C:\TMT-UserInfo\LibraryInfo\_tmt_library.txt

(b) When you launch TextMaestro, it loads everything from master file, leaf-file of the session which was current during application closing, and all libraries. When TextMaestro closes, it automatically saves master file, all loaded leaf files, all libraries, and in addition any text buffer from text conversion.

(c) Every other ten minutes, TextMaestro performs an auto-save once to master file and next time to its backup file. It also saves the conversion libraries and leaf files.

If TextMaestro crashes, and the master file gets corrupted, then replace it by the backup copy. If the backup copy also gets corrupted then you can import information from leaf files. Note you can import information from master file or leaf file using Import button from Session Manager. See Example 10.

It is a good practice to save the information in memory using button occasionally.
